Desk Study
Introduction
A desk study is the simplest ecological investigation that we can provide. This type of study is used to inform likely constraints to a development proposal and forms a key component of the Preliminary Ecological Appraisal.
This involves:
-
Local Biological Data Records search for all relevant protected, rare and declining species.
-
Data search for statutory and non-statutory designated site(s), or features, within a defined zone of influence, reporting the likely ecological significance / potential impact.
-
Legislative register (ecology)
-
Survey schedule indicating the survey periods for each species and habitat to ensure that your development proposal can proceed without costly delays.
What does it cost?
Prices range from £352 to £880.
How long will it take?
Reports are delivered within 3 to 6 working days depending on complexity.
