National Vegetation Classification
Introduction
The National Vegetation Classification (NVC) is a phase 2 habitat survey. The primary aim of an NVC is to classify a narrow habitat type, derived from the botanical community structure within a discrete habitat area, or distinct areas within a complex habitat matrix.
When is an NVC needed?
The NVC system is used for the following:
